I’m planning to join Kansas School of Law 2011 fall semester for 2 year JD program. Before investing my time and money, I would like to know more about KSL.
What are the job prospects after attending 2 Yr JD program designed for international students?
Any guidance will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Anu

    • Hi Anu,

Because the law school you are attending is not a nationally-known school, your employment prospects will be very dependent on the local legal market. I would ask the admissions office at your law school if they can connect you with alumni that you can talk to about job prospects for Kansas Law School graduates. They should be able to connect you with previous graduates from the program who can give you an idea of what to expect when you enter the job market.

Sometimes, international students attend these types of programs if they already have a law degree in their native country. So, for example, I went to law school with a Korean student who had a law degree in Korea but was attending an international program so he could understand the US legal system. His job search was focused on his native country rather than in the US legal market.

Long story short, I encourage you to talk to graduates from your program. If you can, please post what you learn here.

      Best wishes!
      Derek
